By downloading and using GlucoGuard ("the app"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Medical Disclaimer

GlucoGuard is NOT a medical device and is NOT intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

The app provides informational support based on published clinical research. All glucose readings, estimated A1C values, trends, insights, and AI coaching responses are for educational and informational purposes only.

Always consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or medication regimen. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by GlucoGuard.

2. Intended Use

GlucoGuard is a wellness and lifestyle app designed to help users:

• Track blood glucose readings and trends
• Log meals and nutritional information
• Follow an evidence-based lifestyle action plan
• Receive AI-generated educational health insights
• Track medications and health metrics

3. Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, GlucoGuard's calculations (including estimated A1C, time in range, glucose variability, and nutritional data) are estimates based on standard formulas and may not reflect your actual clinical values. Always rely on laboratory tests and your healthcare provider for clinical decisions.

Nutritional data is sourced from the USDA FoodData Central database and our curated local database. Actual nutritional content may vary based on preparation methods, brands, and portion sizes.

4. AI Coach

The AI Coach feature provides general health information based on published research. It is not a licensed healthcare professional. Its responses should not be considered medical advice. The AI Coach may occasionally provide inaccurate or incomplete information.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

GlucoGuard offers a free tier and optional premium subscriptions:

• Monthly Premium: $9.99/month with a 7-day free trial
• Yearly Premium: $79.99/year with a 7-day free trial

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you manually enter into the app
• Consulting your healthcare provider before acting on any information from the app
• Maintaining the security of your device
• Ensuring that glucose readings from connected devices are properly calibrated

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of GlucoGuard is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the data practices described therein.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of GlucoGuard are the intellectual property of GlucoGuard and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlucoGuard and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to any health outcomes, medical decisions, or data loss.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws.
